Students who want to withdraw from Dual Enrollment Computer Science must complete the following three steps:
Step 1. Inform their teacher or high school counselor of their desire to withdraw.
Step 2. Call The Institute for Academic Outreach at 660-785-5384 and inform them of their desire to withdraw. If the student is a minor and their parent is financially responsible for the course we will ask for written documentation from them to withdraw you from the course.
Step 3. Pay their account balance in full including the tuition and any applicable interest and late fees.
After the student has informed the Institute for Academic Outreach and their teacher of their desire to withdraw, the Institute will process the student’s withdrawal on the basis of a standing order from the Associate Provost stating that students in Dual-Enrollment Computer Science withdrawing from the course at any time prior to the end of the local school district’s school year may withdraw without appeal.
The Institute maintains records of all withdrawal requests.
Important Note: If a student fails to notify the Institute for Academic Outreach and their teacher of their desire to withdraw, the grade they earned, whether they completed the coursework or not, will be denoted on their transcript and will affect their Truman grade point average and their average at any other university (should they choose to transfer that credit elsewhere).
