Competency-Based Mathematics Program: Student Eligibility

Junior and Senior students can participate in the Competency-Based Mathematics Program if their high school math teacher or counselor determines that they are ready for college-level mathematics.  Students will need to have completed the prerequisite mathematics courses to be prepared for college-level algebra.  Typically, the preceding courses at the high school level are Algebra II and Geometry.  For the optimum chance at success, we recommend students have completed both Geometry and Algebra II or their equivalents with grades of B or better in each before enrolling in CBM coursework.
