Discounted Courses for Missouri Department of Corrections Employees
Truman State University has negotiated a special arrangement for Department of Corrections employees. Employees are entitled to:
- A 10% discount on in-state tuition for both undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Waiver of customary university fees except for the Online Course Fee, the Data Science Technology Fee, and Special Course Fees.
- Employees living in contiguous states who commute to Missouri are entitled to in-state tuition rates.
Employees are eligible to apply this discount to ANY Truman course they are qualified for. Some courses have required prerequisites.
Truman’s Summer Session has numerous online courses. To search your course options, visit the Open Course List. Select the term you are interested in (Summer 2020, Fall 2020) and click Submit. The next page will provide search tools to explore the list by subject and course type.
To take advantage of this benefit, complete a Non-Degree Seeking Application and call (660-785-5384) or email the Institute for Academic Outreach to alert them that you are a Department of Corrections employee and wish to take advantage of your benefit.
